BARF World – Frozen Raw Pet Food

This is our very first post and we want to give you a little information about us and who we are and what we wish to accomplish on this blog.

BARF World was born about 6 years ago. The company was formed as a merger of talents from a variety of pioneer raw feeding enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. The founding organizers were Robert Mueller, Lillian Noon, and Dr. Ian Billinghurst. The company was started at the infancy stage of the raw food revolution. The company mission is to convert the population of dogs and cats to an appropriate food that will build an improved immune system that will function to build strong defense mechanisms to ward off disease and infections. We accomplish this benefit due to the presence of LIVE ENZYMES in the food. Our core business started with a bunch of meatheads called” BARFERS” that adopted the philosophy of raw feeding and went out and made their own diets. The amazing results from feeding this way has formed the basis for our success in making a commercially prepared raw food diet. Our goal is to provide exceptional service, offer a top quality product to a market we care about and be the leading resource for new and existing “barfers”.

We are about service, top quality ingredients, and the convenience of feeding with a ready -made prepared patty. No more searching for ingredients, no more questions about whether or not the home-made diets has been prepared properly, and no more wasting valuable time in diet preparation. We do it all for you and insure you that the formulations are prepared accurately every time. Our philosophy is to provide a diet that is BIOLOGICALLY APPROPRIATE for the species- thus the birth of “ BARF ( Biologically Appropriate Raw Food). We are about providing a diet that is as close to nature’s best formulation as you can get. We DO NOT involve heat in our processing and thus we preserve the god given live enzymes necessary for more complete digestion and absorption. This is nature’s way to heal from within the body.

Our efforts to promote this philosophy has been a long road of education to a misguided population of pet guardians. We feel like salmon running up-stream in most cases because of the obstacles we continually face but we have turned the corner now and the results of our efforts to educate has paid off. An old adage is right—-“The proof is in the pudding”- the testimonials tell the whole story. The testimonials are what keeps us going.

Our blogs will help us to communicate the important concepts and philosophies about feeding an evolutionary diet. When our customers convert their pets to a raw meat diet they need to be informed and kept up to date on the current trends, pros and cons, and dos and don’ts. The purpose of our blogs will be to open the channels of communication among our customers and with anyone that is considering making a diet change. We hope to become your complete resource for all raw feeding questions. We will offer many different categories to make it easy to find subjects of interest and be able to find current as well as past comments on the issues.
